GTA 6 Marketing Push and the May 21 Earnings Call
Seven months out from launch and Rockstar still has not shown a third trailer. Grand Theft Auto VI sits on a confirmed November 19 release date after two delays, and Take-Two’s quarterly earnings call on May 21 is drawing attention from traditional gaming audiences and from people placing bets through horse racing betting online services who have branched into entertainment wagering. CEO Strauss Zelnick said in February that the GTA 6 marketing campaign kicks off this summer, the first time the company tied a specific season to promotional activity.
Take-Two Earnings Call and What May 21 Could Reveal
The call covers Take-Two’s fiscal year 2026 results and happens at 4.30 PM Eastern. Previous earnings calls have been where both delays got announced, the first pushing the game from autumn 2025 to May 2026, the second shifting it to November. Fans remember that.
Zelnick has used these calls to drop material details before. The February briefing confirmed marketing would begin in summer and physical editions would be available at launch. His commitment to a summer start meant a “high degree of confidence” in the November date, backed by a franchise that has sold nearly 465 million units lifetime.
Rockstar’s GTA Online Schedule as a Signal
Rockstar runs GTA Online updates on a weekly Thursday cycle and has done so for over a decade. Earlier this year they broke that pattern, publishing three weeks of events in a single roadmap through April 1 and leaving a gap in their usual communication. Data trackers read that as clearing space for a GTA 6 announcement. It didn’t happen in April, but PSN database entries linked to GTA 6 appeared briefly before being pulled, which is exactly what happened ahead of GTA V’s next-gen console reveal.
Prediction Markets and Wagering Activity Around GTA 6
The game has generated a betting ecosystem that barely existed five years ago. Kalshi and Polymarket both host active GTA 6 markets, and the numbers show real money behind the speculation.

On Polymarket alone, over $246,000 has been traded on the “GTA 6 launch postponed again” contract. The 72% implied probability for “No” reflects a market that believes Rockstar hits the November window but is not fully convinced, fair enough given two previous delays and Jason Schreier reporting earlier this year that the game was still not content complete.
Bookmakers have opened Game of the Year 2026 markets too, GTA 6 sitting at 4/6 as favourite with roughly 60% implied probability and Resident Evil Requiem second at 3/1 after seven million sales. The overlap between gaming communities and betting engagement keeps growing as crossover entertainment markets pull in audiences who follow games but have never placed a traditional sports wager.
What Fans Know and What Remains Hidden
Lucia and Jason are the two playable characters, a shift from GTA V’s three-protagonist system that suggests Rockstar is prioritizing story depth. The setting returns to Vice City. The online mode has not been announced but insider TheGhostOfHope claims it arrives roughly a month after launch, around mid-December. GTA V’s online mode dropped two weeks after the base game in 2013, so a staggered release would follow precedent.
No PC launch date has been confirmed. Rockstar staggered GTA V’s PC release by nearly two years and Red Dead Redemption 2’s by one, so late 2027 or early 2028 is what most analysts expect.
GTA 6 Base Price and Kalshi Odds
The $60 era is gone. Mario Kart World shipped at $80 and held up commercially, which gives Take-Two less reason to keep GTA 6 at $70. No official price has been confirmed as of late April 2026.
The May 21 Call and What Comes After
Pre-orders, a third trailer, and the start of the marketing campaign are all still pending. May 21 is the earliest moment where Take-Two is obligated to speak publicly about GTA 6, and if Rockstar’s pattern holds, the real reveal lands within days of that call.
