With the new update about Musk, I made it my mission to find out how one could get this elusive creature. Turns out that there is a huge amount of farming necessary for this feat. This guide can help!
In FFX, there are two ways to get musk. One is through farming and the other is by bribing a certain NPC in the game. To get musk from farming, you will need to have a maximum of 4×4 fields with 2×2 plots on each field. You can also use a 3rd party program called “confuseproof” to make it easier for you.
The greatest method to harvest Musk is to steal from Ahrimans on Mt. Gagazet, since you earn 2-3 every swipe. As a common theft, you’ll obtain x2 Musk, and as a rare steal, you’ll get x3 Musk.
These fiends may also be found in the Zanarkand Ruins and Inside Sin, although farming on Mt. Gagazet is more convenient unless you want anything specific from those locations.
Stealing from Sandragoras in the Bikanel Desert is another alternative for farming. As a rare steal, they have x10 Musks.
These fiends, however, only appear as visible on-screen foes once, thus if you kill them in combat, they will not reappear.
Steal till you have Musks, flee, then continue the process to farm Sandragoras. However, if you’ve previously defeated all of them in Bikanel, you won’t be able to use this approach.
Locations of Musk (All Farming Methods)
Musks may be obtained from the “Evil Eye” family of fiends in Final Fantasy X. Ahrimans, Buers, Evil Eyes, Floating Deaths, and Eyes That Float are all examples of this.
Musk is also a steal from the desert-dwelling Sandragoras, but you can only fight them once, so you’ll have to take from them, run, and repeat to farm them (they don’t come back after they die in combat).
However, because to their abundance, the Ahriman are the finest option for farming out of all those fiends.
Sandragoras are a fantastic second choice for farming, but you’ll need to plan ahead to keep them alive.
On Mt. Gagazet, surrounding Zanarkand, and within Sin, Ahrimans may be found.
The Thunder Plains are covered with buers.
Lake Macalania is home to Evil Eyes.
The Mushroom Rock area/Mi’ihen Highroad is where you’ll find Floating Eyes.
The Omega Ruins are home to Floating Deaths.
Ten Musks are an uncommon steal from Sandragoras in the Bikanel Desert, however they can only be battled once. So, if you haven’t already beaten them, you may take their Musks (using Master Thief helps a ton). You may cultivate Musk endlessly by Stealing & Fleeing here.
Bribery of Musk
Here are your greatest alternatives for bribery if you have gil to spare:
In Final Fantasy X, Musk makes use of
Musk is used to fight the state impact of disorientation.
Both Confuse Ward and Confuse Proof may be customized onto armor.
Confuse Ward eliminates confusion half of the time, whereas Confuse Proof stops it entirely, making anybody wearing such armor completely immune to it.
In combat, particularly against Malboros, confusion might be a death sentence.
Confusion may aggressively make a character ruin the rest of the party, while other status effects either deliver damage or slowly KO a party member. As a result, Confuse Proof is a terrific auto-ability that deserves to be customized.
Rikku may also combine Musk for incredible outcomes.
Cheer, Focus, Aim, Reflex, NulBlaze, NulShock, NulTide, and NulFrost are all applied to the party by Ultra-Null-All (Healing Spring).
Megalixir (Antidote): Restores all of the party’s HP and MP.
Panacea (Potion): On a single party member, cures all negative status illnesses.
Is Musk a Good Investment?
Yes, but only for a limited time.
Confusion isn’t a problem you’ll encounter very frequently.
There are a few bosses that can inflict it, but it isn’t something you’ll encounter very often.
Musk and its resistance against Confusion are most useful while you’re first exploring the Omega Ruins and completing the Final Dungeon. Malboros and Great Malboros may be found in abundance in both locations.
If your group isn’t prepared, their Bad Breath might cause confusion and soon ruin the expedition.
But the finest application for Musk is in Rikku’s mix, where you may build strong healing remedies quickly and easily. It’s ideal for getting out of a jam.
The “ffx hypello potion bribe” is a farming and bribing strategy in Final Fantasy X. It allows players to farm Musk quickly and easily. The strategy can be used with any character, but it’s most effective with Tidus.
